 Adult Classes:

Pastor’s Class:  Are you new to Cross Creek, interested in church membership, or just wondering what “being a Christian” is all about?  If so, join us for six weeks of the Pastor’s Class.  You’ll learn about our core values, learn what it means to put your faith in Christ, and find out what church membership involves.  Along the way, you’ll meet new friends, connect with church staff, and even become a church member if that’s your desire.  Facilitated by Paul Kalfa and Jan Werson

Prayer – Does it Make Any Difference (a DVD study by Philip Yancey):  this is a combined class for adults and youth and will cover 6 topics:  God’s View; Why Pray?; Keeping Company with God; How to Pray; Prayer Problems; Does Prayer Change Anything.  Each participant will be given a study guide with prayer journal.  By the end of this class, each person will be given a variety of ideas to enrich their personal and family prayer time.  Lesson notes:  Prayer-Does It Make A Difference

The Resolution for Men:  This study is a call for all men to live courageously for their faith and families – to become the man God created you to be.  “A man cannot be passive about what Scripture tells him to do for his family and expect to be found faithful to God in the end.  He must see with spiritual eyes and realize that future generations are directly impacted by his daily decisions.”  Facilitated by Spencer Boulter

Women’s Study: PSYCHOLOGY & SCRIPTURE

 True or False

  • Our memories about our life events are often unreliable.
  • We are usually harder on ourselves than we are on other people.
  • When it comes to close personal relationships, opposites attract.
  • Men and women are basically the same.
  • Anxiety is caused more by environmental than genetic factors.
  • We are more likely to feel love for someone when they do something nice for us than when we do something nice for them.

In PSYCHOLOGY & SCRIPTURE, we’ll discuss some fascinating research findings in the field of psychology, learn how these and other scientific discoveries can help us understand ourselves and others better, and use the Scriptures to apply God’s truth about these topics to our own Christian walk. Katherine Hooper and Jacqui Brown will lead this class for women.

Youth:   Meets in the Auditorium for a combined class with adults on Prayer – Does it Make Any Difference
